A Night for Paws 2025: A Sold-Out Celebration for a Cause
Lake Norman Humane’s annual A Night for Paws Gala 2025 was a sold-out success, bringing together animal lovers and community partners for an unforgettable evening of generosity and celebration. Held under the sparkling Denim & Rhinestones theme, guests enjoyed live music, dinner by Choplin’s, exciting auctions, and a shared commitment to helping local pets in need.
A Record-Breaking Night for Lake Norman Humane
This year’s gala is projected to net around $350,000, with totals still being finalized as additional live auction items continue to sell. These funds directly support the day-to-day operations of Lake Norman Humane—ensuring the organization can continue rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming animals across our community.
One of the evening’s highlights was the $150,000 Giving with Grace Spay/Neuter Matching Challenge, a pivotal initiative helping fund the upcoming Giving with Grace Spay & Neuter Clinic.

Every dollar donated through this challenge is matched dollar-for-dollar, magnifying each gift’s impact and bringing us closer to a healthier, more sustainable future for local pets.
Why the Giving with Grace Clinic Matters
The Giving with Grace Spay & Neuter Clinic represents a transformative step in Lake Norman Humane’s mission to reduce overpopulation and provide affordable veterinary care.
By performing surgeries in-house, the organization expects to save approximately $123,000 annually on spay/neuter costs and another $61,000 in veterinary care. Those savings can then be redirected toward critical programs that save lives—rescue operations, medical treatments, and community outreach.
To date, more than 65% of the $1 million goal to build and equip the clinic has been pledged, and this year’s gala helped close that gap even further.
