Despite a year of unprecedented challenges and fundraising shortfalls, Lake Norman Humane has not only continued its lifesaving work, but we have expanded our programs and services to serve the animals and people of our community that need it most.
Below are some highlights of the impact made possible in 2020 by supporters like you!
Lake Norman Humane provided shelter and vital care to nearly 700 lost, unwanted, and injured animals, despite the operational impact of COVD-19 and the limitations of “by appointment” adoption and intake.
This Fall Lake Norman Humane launched our first in a series of quarterly low-cost microchip clinics to help pets find their way home in the event of the unthinkable.
We have also expanded our drive-up pet food bank program. Through the program we have provided thousands of pounds of pet food for families in need to help keep animals in their homes during these challenging times
In October of 2020, Lake Norman Humane was proud to assist Hurricane Delta relief efforts by welcoming a transport of wonderful dogs rescued from a Louisiana shelter in the storm’s path. The group that would affectionately come to be known as “Our Delta Dogs” have all since found loving homes.
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with no ongoing local, state, or federal funding, we could not do what we do without you. Please consider donating to our Hope for the Holidays Giving Campaign today.
